OBS!!! OBS WATCH 5! ARMSTRONG!

Let me first introduce you to my OBS life. It was fun, and definitely unforgettable.
First Day
We went to Pulau Ubin, and arrive at campsite 2 the MPH. After that we were briefed and told our watch names. Mine is ARMSTRONG! WOOHOO. Our instructor was Trace. Yay.
After the briefing we sat into a morning circle and passed our valuables to Trace. (Someone brought 10 times the money i brought = 10$) Then we created our trading cards and intro-ed ourselves before deciding who would take up what post. I was time keeper xD. (Capable, huh.)
then we had to arrange the food properly. After that ,we put our bags in the store (after checking it) and it was time to KAYAK! We learnt how to capsize a kayak and rescue a kayak. It was fun man. After that , if i'm not wrong it was time for dinner , then we pitched tents , bathed and lights out!
Second Day
We woke up at 5 am, then met Trace at 5.55 am. After that we did our morning circle. After that we did trust fall. then after that we practised belaying and got a chance to climb the internal rock wall. After that, we had to "find a tree". Meaning, from one tree touch another tree blindfolded. WE did it 2 times and both times succeeded in about 5 minutes. Thx to our great teamwork. Then if i'm not wrong, we went to prepare for dinner (rice and canned food!) , and after that we were shown a packing list of what to pack for the next day's land expedition. Chin wen and I shared a backpack, our group used only 11 backpacks excluding food, and the other 4 for tents. I remember we brought Battuta's tent, and they took ours, so in the end , we were lucky and exchanged back the tents :D. Somewhere during today we trekked to campsite 1. but i forgot. anybody can correct me? before that, we played the game zoom. it is a story where the pictures keep zooming in until the end, which is the zoomed-in version of a roosters head. we discussed and talked talked and laughed . then after we decided we finished then 5 minutes left. so we panicked and everyone worked together. (although we were not sure about one part of the story, cause Kely said the rooster's head was a starfish. hahha.we were wondering why suddenly got starfish in the story. okay la, at least we got 15 pictures correct. )After we packed our bags then we pitched our tents and helped some other watches pitch their tents as well. (colombus if im not wrong.) besides, our tent is "idiot-proof" according to our instructor.
Third Day
Before that we had high element activities. before i actually climbed i thought so easy. but when i climbed up with fara. i then realized omg. after that we got ready for the land expedition.
We had land expedition. We trekked to only two check points, one is check point 30 and the other to the Tallest peak of pulau ubin. When we reached the tallest peak of pulau ubin, (65m), some one asked, "where are we now?" janelle, being the navigator, said "orh we are now not in pulau ubin, " (and she was holding the map and the words were printed BIG BIG "MAP OF PULAU UBIN. ") so izzat said, oh then we must be in pulau pulau ubin.hahaha so funny la.
After that we were told where was our unknown campsite, we trekked there. (janelle saw a dog and keep calling it doggy.) (there were many dogs, and all the dogs , like, listen to her?!) the dog led us to the campsite even though we navigated already. then izzat said, wow janelle you have great powers. (then janelle , as usual with her proud face, sooo funny lor.) then we pitched our tents and listened to a briefing for the kayaking expedition the next day. then we cooked our food and packed our bags again. I was sick, then i was touched as my watch mates asked me whether i was okay. (izzat and the sentry duty people even offered to let me sleep, thats why i was touched ) anyway, i was thinking about the next day, and the 15- 17 km journey round pulau pulau ubin.
Fourth DayWe woke up at 4 am, and prepared everything. We striked our tents, loaded the bags onto the boat. (since i was holding on to the boat , the rest of my watch went to prepare the kayaks, if im not wrong. ) then i was holding the boat together with brina, susu, ting hui and ze tong. brina i must mention, cause she put on her blue house t - shirt that time (to protect her face from the sun) looks like a blue teletubby. (really! if you dont believe ask her to show it to you. ) after that we applied our sun block. and got ready to splash! (our great 4 sea ex leaders are : Izzat, Jeremiah, Samuel ,and Zhao Kai.) the kayaking expedition was VERY LONG, so its hard to describe it. except it was frustrating, as i and ding jie were almost always in the middle , then when we asked the in front ppl to slow down, they continue , then if we ask the behind ppl to hurry up, they cannot, because they are too tired. so if we go too fast, then the behind ppl cannot catch up, and we kena scolded. but if we rest too much, we will never reach there in time. which is damn frustrating la. but nvm, at least during the last few parts of the journey, when we saw campsite 1, we really started to keep close together and chiong all the way the campsite 2. (when we saw the jetty, it was like FINALLY. then we were like, "first to reach the jetty goes to the toilet!") then everyone chionged there and we could finally rest. [but unfortunately, some one in our watch had a cramp or fit or something, and got sent to the medical centre. he was my kayaking partner and i didnt really see him hydrating himself, so.. ]
Because we took about 7-10 hours kayaking then we had a late dinner, (about 9 plus) but it was a celebration dinner! :D . finally some proper food. after that we pitched our tents and slept.
FRIDAYWe woke up at 5 am again. and then met trace at 5.55 . then we had to pack our stores, which was very sian. we lost a lot of things, mainly the entrenching tool, 9 water bottles, and 2 sets of mess tins. (which we all found or ppl had extra and gave it to us. ) [yay no need to pay for anything! :D] We then went for souvenir shopping, then we gathered with trace for the last morning circle. she told us and taught us alot of things. so here i want to thank her personally for making an impact on my life. shes the best instructor to me. after that we went home and talked on the MRT train and in KFC too. we talked about many things, and gossiped too. [ that was fun man xD] All in all, i may have forgotten to type many things as the 5 days there was jam-packed with activities, and it has left an impact on my life. i'm glad i attended this 5 day course.
